Word Bones is a single-player word game. It needs none of your personal information — your progress stays on your device, and nothing you do in the game is sent to us. There are no ads and no tracking of any kind.

The iOS App

Word Bones is free, with no ads. It contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, does not use your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), and does not track you across other apps or websites. There is no App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is nothing to track.

Your game data — statistics, Elo rating, word collection, and settings — is stored only on your device using Apple’s standard local storage. It never leaves your phone, and we can’t see it. Deleting the app removes it.

If you choose to leave an optional tip (the in-app “tip jar”), the purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store — we never receive your payment details, and a tip unlocks nothing. It simply supports the game.

The Website

This website (wordbones.vercel.app) uses privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) to count anonymous page views. It does not use cookies to identify you and does not build advertising profiles. Game progress on the website is stored locally in your browser and is never sent to us.

Children’s Privacy

Word Bones is not directed at children under 13. The game collects no personal information, shows no ads, and does no tracking.

If this policy ever changes, the updated date above will change with it.
